Services

Finance leadership for ESOP companies.

Controller and fractional CFO work, board-ready reporting, and liaison to the trustee, TPA, and valuation firm. We prepare the company's financials and forecasts for those parties. We also do the accounting, where the company does not yet have it.

ESOP controller and CFO

Financial reporting, cash visibility, and forecasts prepared for the trustee, TPA, and valuation firm.

  • Close, reporting, and oversight of the accounting function
  • Forecasts prepared for the trustee and the valuation
  • Rolling cash visibility, so the board knows where the company stands
Best For

ESOP-owned companies, and companies considering an ESOP, that need a controller or CFO but are not ready for a full-time hire.

Best For

Companies that do not yet have the day-to-day books in place.

Accounting, where you need it

Full-cycle bookkeeping where the company does not yet have it.

  • Accounts payable and receivable
  • Full-cycle bookkeeping
  • Month-end close
  • Financials prepared for the trustee, TPA, or valuator

Board reporting

Governance-level financial oversight, and the liaison between the company and the trustee, TPA, and valuation firm.

An annual plan, checked quarterly.

We build one plan for the year. It includes the close, the cash forecast, and the financials and forecasts prepared for the trustee, TPA, and valuation firm. When the valuator issues the number, and when the TPA issues a repurchase study, those results go into the same plan. We review the plan each quarter to confirm the steps are on track for the valuation, and for the repurchase study when the TPA is preparing one.

  • Board-ready reporting
  • Liaison to the trustee, TPA, and valuation firm
  • Financials and forecasts prepared for those parties
  • A quarterly check that the valuation steps, and the repurchase steps when there is a study, are on track

Companies considering an ESOP

Financials and a forecast prepared before the trustee and valuator are in the room.

  • Financials prepared for the trustee and valuator
  • A forecast the board can explain
  • A clear handoff to counsel, the trustee, the TPA, and the valuation firm

Best For

Owners weighing a sale to an ESOP who want the financials and forecast prepared before the trustee and valuator are in the room.
